At the start of the new year, QSAC CEO Gary A. Maffei challenged his staff to get fit by pledging $1 to QSAC for every pound lost. In the end, it was Shonniece Holland of QSAC's Bronx Day Hab who walked away with the title of QSAC's Biggest Loser and the grand prize of $350.
"In this tough economy, we need to be very creative to raise the necessary funds to continue our vital work," said Maffei. "While deciding on my new year resolution to improve my general health, it occurred to me to put the two together and the challenge idea was born."
